One of our staff members - Melissa Quinn; is currently battling cancer tumours in her leg and brain. Both of these tumours cannot be operated on by traditional surgery and without treatment it is expected Melissa will die within two years. Melissa has been accepted for proton radiation therapy in the United States – technology which is not yet available in Australia. While the Australian Government will cover some of the costs involved Melissa still requires money for travel, accommodation, living expenses and clinic fees for the expected 8 weeks of treatment. It is estimated Melissa will require about $20,000 for the treatment.
The Club is organising a social bowls fundraising day on Friday 21st November. We are looking to gather teams of 4 with a cost of $70pp. A BBQ and light refreshments will be provided, but the event is essentially fundraiser, with a donation of $70 for a bit of fun and a few laughs with mates.

The Club will also have raffle and auction items.
